Based in Stockport, Jump Space is a charity based in a specialist recreation centre providing Trampolining, Rebound Therapy and Active/Sensory play to disabled and non-disabled people of all ages. Our fully accessible HQ caters for groups and individuals with a wide range of impairments. All sessions are led by highly trained staff. You can join one of our weekly classes, come to a drop in, or book a group/ 1:1 session. We cater for individuals, families, groups, schools, colleges, residential homes and referral units.
Jump Space's specially adapted centre has two areas: the main gym and the small gym. In the main gym, there are two trampolines, an accessible play area and large sensory room. In the small gym, there is a trampoline, an accessible play area and sensory play too.
Jump Space provides a safe, fun, understanding and non-judgemental environment to play for disabled people and creates a supportive social space for everyone who comes in. Our unique provision means that siblings can enjoy trampolining sessions alongside their brothers and sisters while parents and carers can chat and support each other.

Trampolining and Rebound Therapy
Our qualified staff lead all sessions on the trampolines. In group sessions, participants take turns on the trampoline, enjoying the other activities in the gym when they are not jumping. We understand that turn taking can be tricky and are used to supporting participants with this.
We progressively teach a wide range of trampolining skills using a range of methods to support communication needs. Time on the trampoline can also be used to support individuals with personalised targets for health and well being.
People with a wide range of disabilities and impairments come to  Jump Space to enjoy the sessions and have fun: you do not need a diagnosis to attend.

In the small gym, we offer 1:1 sessions and small group sessions. One long turn is offered and time in these sessions focusses again on personalised targets for health and well being.
There is a mobile hoist to aid access the trampoline.

The above files contain symbols for the main gym  or small gym which may be of help to participants who use a symbol based communication system. If you have issues accessing the files from the website,  please email [email protected] and we will happily email your chosen document over to you.

Please note you will be asked to complete a form before you can access the trampolines. Due to medical reasons, people who are pregnant, have detaching retinas, dwarfism, rodded spines or brittle bone disease cannot trampoline, however everyone is welcome to access the soft play area. You do not need to have a diagnosis to attend. You must be at least 4 years old to trampoline.
Those with Down Syndrome are requested to complete an additional AAI form, which needs to be signed by a medical professional, so this will need to be completed in advance of your visit if you wish to trampoline. Please contact the office if you need one emailed to you.

Interested in a session at Jump Space?

We have a number of different sessions on our timetable: classes, drop ins, and private sessions (groups and individuals). All sessions have a small number of participants which is limited to ensure that everyone feels that they have plenty of space to play. Most classes and group sessions are limited to 10 participants. You do not have to have a diagnosis to attend Jump Space. Jump Space is open Monday to Saturday: please see below for details.

Classes
We have classes most evenings and on Saturday mornings. These are loosely grouped by age to encourage peer relationships and networking. Classes are paid for in advance monthly by direct debit. There is a free trial for first session. Jump Space encourages the whole family to be active and healthy, and so we welcome siblings. Please call or email [email protected] for more information and to discuss which classes are most suitable for your needs.
